Seine Rigger is one of the first fish & chips shops in the UK to have the confidence in our product to have it analysed. Too often, our fantastic, natural and nutritional meal of fish, chips and mushy peas has received negative press as being part of Britain's growing obesity problem.
We felt this was uninformed and unfair criticism and the results shown below help to prove this. Scientific results independently researched and assessed by Campden BRI of Gloucester have proven that fish & chips are much healthier than you might think.

As you can see, fish, chips and mushy peas has half the amount of fat and two-thirds the calories of several popular take-aways, and much less salt. The laboratory also found high traces of Omega 3, 6 and 9 oils representing over 6% of the total meal content. Healthy and essential fish oils that the mind and body need.
We try our hardest to make sure we supply the healthiest possible meal to our customers using premium groundnut oil, large-cut freshly chipped potatoes, and thin, crispy batter - all cooked at the optimum temperature to minimise the amount of oil intake.
